How do schools teach a child to write a capital " Y "

Is it just like it appears here " Y " ?

I guess I do them the lazy way. I do a " y " only bigger. Just with the two lines.

  • Okay, so I have been teaching her wrong. She's not going to like that.

  • It actually depends on whether the use D'Nealian or regular block style writing.... If they use D'Nealian then it is 2 lines (you can easily google D'Nealian to see an example) So check with the school or school she will be going to in the future so you know the same method.

  • No idea what school it will be. We will probably move again before she starts.
