  • I get horrible hiccups too. The only thing that ever works is eating a spoonful of creamy peanut butter

  • Place a butter knife in a glass of water, handle side up,and drink the water with the handle touching the side of your face
Either that,or place some salt on the back of your tongue, and sit there with your mouth open for a few minutes

  • Keep them coming but I got rid of them... I had to make myself burp. (I NEVER burp so I had to force it)

  • I hold my breath.

Answer by Ginger0104 at 8:05 PM on Aug. 22, 2013

  • I usually just hold my breath and swallow at the same time, but once that didn't work for my daughter. I think it was ButterflyBlue who told me to put a butter knife in a glass of water and have her drink with the knife handle pressed against her cheek. Now she demands that remedy every time.
