Tight throat in the morning, making it hard to take pills & drink water...

Every morning I wake up and go to take my morning pills, but my throat is tight, and when I go to swallow water & pill, it makes me want to gag.. I would eat something first, but one of my pills has to be taken 30 min before eating with plenty of water, but its to hard to drink more than a few sips without gagging... I am only 27, and in perfect health & physical condition, What could be causing this?

  • My throat is that way in the morning. I thought it was common to everybody, but apparently not. Can you slowly start sipping water for a few minutes to loosen up the muscles, then take your pills when you're more relaxed?
