Potty Training?

I have 4 boys, 2 of which are potty trained and have been since before they were two. My 3rd son Levi just doesn't want to go in the potty, hes almost 2 and were not sure why he wont go. Archer and Everett were easy as pie. We just had our 4th son so we haven't been pushing Levi into it, we don't want him to have to much change at once but any ideas on how to get him to want to go in the potty? Any tips or tricks that you mommies have to get your boys potty trained?

  • Wait until he's ready? Very few boys are ready until well after 2. Is he showing any signs? It's really useless to try and posh him to use the potty unless he's developmentally ready.

  • Wait til he is older. Focus on making him feel special for the time being. He is in a difficult position with a new baby and two older brothers.

  • Every child is different. This one just isn't ... yet. Give him time, he'll let you know when he's ready. The fact that he's just gotten a new baby brother (so he isn't the baby any more) probably isn't going to help.

  • My kids were all 3. Wait until he's ready. No rush.

  • He's awfully young, and since you just had a baby, the routine of the house is unsettled. Wait a few months and see what happens.

  • He likes to go in the potty with his brothers that's why we got him pull ups and a potty and he did good at first but now he just doesn't like it. Were not pushing him at all, I was just wondering if any other moms had any suggestions on how to get him to want to go potty.
