If a woman has a double mastectomy and doesn't have her breasts reconstructed....

can she now go topless in public?
I've seen a few pics of ladies that had their chests tattooed after the surgeries

  • I suppose that's getting into a gray area.

  • I don't see why not. Women not being allowed to go topless is directly related to boobies. No boobies = no reason you can't go topless

However, considering the hysteria that arises when a woman doesn't use a blanket to breastfeed in this country I can only imagine heads would explode

  • In theory, she should be able to because as previously said, no boobs = no reason to freak. But there's always going to be someone who's still going to freak out just for the fact that she's still a woman, whether she has boobs or not.

  • I think that has come up on some beaches in the last couple of years. I have see some wonderful tattoos but I think it was also an issue on a beach with a woman who did not tattoo. I donot know if has been resolved though.
