  • I had a good crop. My San Marzano tomatoes were ten feet tall and produced a ton. My jalapenoes and serranos always do good, and we're very hot. Eggplant not so good. Herbs did great. Habeneros were good.

  • I did a pot garden since I'm in the middle of Chicago now. I had a great crop! I was surprised. It was just a salsa garden but I'm thinking of doing an herb wall in my kitchen this winter.

  • Lima beans, green beans, cucumbers, and corn did great. Tomatoes have been good but a bit inferior in quality due to excess rain. Fall crop of broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower are looking great. Been too wet to plant the turnips.

  • Not so good here. Critters get it before we do. The cost to fence the garden to keep deer out just doesn't seem sensible.
I think next year I'd do some potted herbs and join a CSA for a crop share.
