What's for dinner?

Homemade chicken pot pie, except I just put refrigeratedbiscuits on top because I'm no good at making crust.

  • It finally rained today! Almost an inch! Real rain...like a storm rain. Oh we are happy happy happy!

So, in honor of the rain and the temp not getting above 80, I made Gumbo Ya Ya. I don't normally make it Ya Ya style. My grandma is probably rolling over in her grave! We had Cajun tater salad with it.

  • It was supposed to be pan fried tilapia with steamed beans, but we had to go to a city thing and ended up eating at the chicken joint next to where the meeting was being held. So, fried chicken, southern style green beans, corn, potatoes, biscuits and salad. It was good, but I really wanted the fish tonight.
