As most of you know, I have a lot of dogs (Flash, Sally, Bama, Lucy, Mama, Heifer & Bo). They all stay in the barn at night (except for 2 of them), well I let all of them out this morning when I got up (around 4:30) and my pit bull, Bo, wasn't acting like himself. He didn't run out of the barn like he usually does, he walked out and went to lay in the field. I thought maybe he just didn't feel well (he was about 12 years old). Well, I went back out to check on all the animals around 8, after I dropped dd off at school, and Bo was dead. He was a damn good dog and it breaks my heart that he died, and I did nothing to comfort him. I should have stayed with him, but I had to take care of my kids. *sigh*

It's so hard when we lose our fur babies. Useless platitudes: Don't beat yourself up too much about it. Hindsight is always 20/20.
If you had him for 12 years, he KNEW you loved him.
