My son is 11yrs old, I think he got his whooping cough vaccine 3yrs ago. Is it ok to vaccinate him again

  • Why would you vaccinate him again? He doesn't need it.. as I think it is more of a one time thing from my understanding.

  • Call your pediatrician and ask them. They are medical professionals and better equipped to answer your questions and ask you for pertinent information about your child.

  • Ask his Dr. But If he needs it to attend School & you have no proof of record that he already received it then I guess he has to get it again.

  • BTW, The vaccine is a combo one called DTaP. Includes: diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough) and tetanus.

  • Vaccinations are on a registry that the doctor can access. There should be no question of whether he got it or not
