Flat screen TV help

I might try to buy a used one off craigslist. I have seen them at Costco and there is the plasma or LED or something. Is one better than another? I know nothing but I have noticed on some flat screens, the people look shorter than normal. Any thoughts?

  • Plasmas are good for sizes over 40 inches. I can't have one. The picture "cycles" too slowly and i can pick up the flashing as both a visual and aural disturbance, resulting in migraines
LED's are good at any size
Don't buy an off brand. You'll regret it
What you might be seeing is a non digital picture on an HDTV

  • LED's are updated versions of LCD's

  • Thank you! I forgot about the HD thing...maybe I shouldn't buy a used one and should just head to Costco. 42 would be as big as I'd want and that's pretty big to me.

  • I highly suggest you get something good and new.

  • Get LED. New. They're not that much.
Just make sure you get an HD cable box or your picture will be crappy.
