Response from Melissa and Doug about broken tent pole

A while back, I posted that one of the poles on my daughter's Tootle Turtle Tent from Melissa and Doug snapped, sending a bunch of tiny carbon fiber splinters into my hand. I just wanted to say that I'm impressed with the way the company has responded. They're sending a new pole free of charge, and they're going to do a lot of tests on the broken one and on the poles in general to make sure it's not a fault that could cause other poles to splinter and hurt people.

  • I would have more than willingly paid for the tent pole, since we'd already had the tent awhile. I mostly wanted the company to be aware of the potential danger that a splintering pole could pose to little hands.
