Retro night at my house. Iz will be proud!

I made Salisbury steak, Mashed taters, creamed spinach and tomato aspic. The kids loved the aspic. I silently barfed. I've never made Salisbury steak and I will say its pretty good. I used ground turkey instead of beef.

What did you have for dinner tonight? I'm not a betting person, but I bet a penny I'm the only one that had that disgusting aspic. Lol.

  • Well, it's still cooking, but we are having green beans, fried potatoes, baked chicken fingers, pintos, and buttermilk pie. It's my DH's birthday. Oh and cornbread.

  • It tasted like tomato jello to me. I'm not a tomato fan, but the rest of my family loves them. The texture was weird weird weird! Years ago my ex mil use to make aspic with pineapples and cottage cheese. I hate cottage cheese, but loved that recipe. Wish I could find it again!
