Symptoms two months after Mirena removal? Anyone, I feel like I am dying!

I had my Mirena removed in early July because I had recently been hospitalized for anaphyactic shock and wanted to remove all foreign things from my body. Long story short, I wake up with morning nausea EVERYDAY and have ever since about 5 days post removal. I feel generally ill all day and get frequent headaches. My OB-GYN of course denies any of this can be from the Mirena, they swear by it, but this is the only correlation I can find. I have had every test run possible (EGD, CT scan, blood work, allergies, etc), all say I am perfectly healthy, how long will these symptoms last!?

  • SECOND OPINION! Something is wrong and your doc has missed it. There's no way anyone can tell you how long this might last.

Never ever have seen this from Mirena. I think something else is going on that everyone has missed.

  • So you are not pregnant? Might have to go to a different doctor.

  • I had nothing but trouble with the mirena as well. I had a terrible infection, bloated to the point where I looked 5 months pregnant (but wasn't), constant pain, constant headaches, excessive weight gain, constant bleeding, nausea, etc.

I had it removed and had some of the symptoms go away immediately but the headaches, some pain and nausea continued for about EIGHT months after. It wasn't until then that I felt much better and back to normal.

  • I agree with a second opinion. I've heard of people having problems when they had Mirena in, but those problems subsided when it was removed. Not the other way around.

  • I also had a Mirena implant and I hated it!
I got pregnant 2 months after mine was removed, could you be pregnant or have endometreosis?

The hormones in Mirena may still be wearing off!
