can you get pregnant three days before you ovulate?

my ovulation day will be on the 10th of this month. My husband and i made love on the seventh

  • Sure can.

    You can get pregnant at any point in your cycle if you have unprotected sex but the closer to your ovulation day, the better.

  • No. An egg must be present to get pregnant. Sperm only live three days on the average. Some can live as long as a week, but most are dead or absorbed in three days. Once the egg is released (ovulation) then yes. The egg will be ideal for fertilization for 72 hours once released. If you get pregnant off this one time occasion I'm betting you'll have a girl. (Female sperm live longer so if there's any left by the 10th I'd bet they are girls. Now if you make love again I'd go for a boy since they swim faster.) Good luck!!
