  • Depends
    In my state
If you get assistance they put you in a job situation five days a week
Like a job, but only getting small amount oer hour, when you figure in the amount of assistance
Of course if you have infant and breast feeding, assume they wait until bottle feed, then give you child care so you can go to these job site things. Get more for actually working, but these companies do not hire full time workers, they get them. Heap from the assistance office

Guess I do not have much info
But calling your local agency will get you answers, you most likely will have to go in and apply

Bump, maybe someone has better info for you

  • It's probably different from state to state. Im not sure if there are different programs that provide cash assistance, but my state has a program where you can get cash assistance and your child care paid for when you are either going to school full-time or working at least 30 hours per week. If you can't fulfill that then you must show proof you are looking for work (e.g. Contact info for HR, hiring manager, or potential employers where you've applied for work) or you must do community service for the 30 hours per week.
