Where are the TOMATOES!

OK, my LO took some fresh tomatoes off the kitchen table that we just picked from the garden & she hid them! I asked her where she put them but she has just mastered the word "no" & gives me a big smile. This is too funny, I suspect I will either find them moldy or dehydrated depending on how fast I can find them but she's a pretty good hider! LOL!

Do your kids hide stuff?

  • that is so funny!

Not so much like that, although one of my sons (age 5) was doing so in a kind of retaliatory way last night. They were playing together at school while I was in an adult class from 4:00 to 5:30, and their dad got there to collect them after he got off work. Evidently one of the boys wasn't ready to be done playing checkers with his sister and when she started taking apart & putting away the board & pieces, he took some checkers and "hid them" someplace. I think he did finally retrieve them, but it's possible he re-hid those.

When mine were littler they "appropriated" things and walked off with them, which often ended up with them lost or stowed away someplace odd. Not so much conscious hiding, though.

  • Omg girl. Time to clean the house! Did your tomatoes actually ripen? Ours did nothing this year and I planted 300 of them! Weather sucked.

  • I find pacifiers in my kitchen drawers a good bit, and now my 15 mo DD likes to hide from me when I go to change her diaper.

  • Oh Lord, the places I found pacifiers! For a while, my daughter used to like to hide things in my shoes, or hide my shoes in odd places. It was usually funny, but I remember once I had my insurance agent coming over so I could sign a policy update, and I was searching everywhere for my damn shoes. He came into the kitchen and asked me why there were tennis shoes I the dog's dish, and then he said, "Never mind, I've got grandkids. I know."
