im 37 weeks pregnant on monday and i cant sleep due to really bad acid reflux and heartburn and tums does not work any suggestions?

  • Yes thank you for the tips i will try all that it gets worse at night i havent slept in weeks because of it they say i get this really bad because he has alot of hair is that true

  • If you have one available, sleeping in a recliner might help because you'll be at an incline.

  • Try sleeping propped up. I was having the same problem up until a week ago. Propping myself up with pillows has really helped.

  • Try eating a piece of toast or some crackers before bed. And just know, soon that baby will clear out of there and leave more room for your stomach and guts--and then you'll be awake all night for other reasons. Good luck.

  • It's a little late now, but see if you can get a prescription antacid. Tums stopped working early on in BOTH my pregnancies. Tums just turned it into fruity flavored heartburn, so my doctor put me on Protonix. Worked like a charm.
