  • Depends on what you've got in the oven.
    If I'm broiling buttered hamburger buns, I close it but stay with it. Doesn't take very long.
    Anything else, I crack the door open.

  • The last two stoves I've had in rentals don't stay cracked. I have ALWAYS cracked the oven on broil but SO (Who was a chef) never does.

  • Cracked. Keeps the coils burning hot, at least on the past 3 stoves I've had - rental unit stoves, I haven't blown through that many personally owned stoves, lol.
