should i go to hospital now,am i in labour

I had a show 24 hours ago and cramping pains and now contracksions that have been 40 secs long and 5-6 mins apart,but my waters havnt break.wat do i do.dont want to feel stupit goin to hospital if they sent me home saying am not ready first baby and dont no if am in active labour r not

  • Go! It sounds like labor to me and I have 3 kids. If it turns out to be a false alarm, you won't be the 1st to be sent home. I was sent home 2 times with my YOUNGEST.

    Better to be safe than sorry.

  • Sometimes your water doesn't break until the minute you give birth, and sometimes a baby can be born inside of them, good night lady get to the hospital.

  • Believe me when I tell you that they do not think you are stupid, just anxious.
    It is normal an they see in several times every day.
    Depending on how far you have to travel, you may want to go. I believe I was told to call my doctor and go at 4 minutes apart if I had been able to consistently tract my contractions for at least an hour.

  • My water never broke with my first. The Dr had to break it.
