1 Bump

To give him my address or to not give him my address, that is the question.

im talking about my oldest's bio dad. it's not like he doesn't know where i live, but, he moved out of state a year ago. he hasn't seen my daughter since she was 3, and that lasted about a week, and she'll be 7 next month. before she was 3 he hadn't seen her since she was a newborn and then that was a total of 5-6 times maybe.

anyway he's "back" again and it's the same old story- he wants to be involved. he's asking for my address so he can send her a bday gift apparently.

my instinct is telling me not to give it to him, but, maybe i'm wrong. WWYD? he could always have one of his friends that lives down here drive by and get it if he really wanted it that bad.

  • Nope. I wouldn't give him crap. He has to earn the right to information that makes his life easier.

  • thats how i feel too. the only reason i even considered it is because he does know where i live, he just doesn't remember the physical address.

  • he just doesn't remember the physical address.

Then he needs to get his happy ass on Google maps and figure it out...
You can get a P.O. box for a month or so and he can ship the gift there.

  • Even worse lol. It's not like he couldn't take the initiative to find the address if it was that important to him.

  • "You can get a P.O. box for a month"

I'd agree with this except, once again, she has to spend money in order to make his life easier.

  • Some of those mail box places have "addresses" too in order to get around the "no P.O. Boxes" shipping regulations.

General Delivery could also be an option.
As long as the CO doesn't say you have to keep one another informed of address you could play this several ways
