What do you think

Politically speaking. Do those who speak the loudest, usually have the most to hide?

  • Yeah...I think so. Remember that great quote that has been mangled a bit from the original...

'Methinks thou doth protest too loudly/Methinks thou doth protest too much'. I think can be said of and about many a 'protester' on these boards.

The original quote is..""The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

  • Isn't it the opposite way around. People who are quiet are the ones that are hiding something. The loud people just like attention.

  • louise2, In my experience, the quiet one's don't usually feel the need to keep repeating themselves. In my view, that shows confidence.

  • I'd say that's probably right on. Not just politically, but like when my MIL starting telling anyone that my FIL was having an affair. It turns out she was crying wolf so that no one would notice that SHE was having an affair. Or people who constantly pointing out the faults of others in order to keep the attention off of THEIR faults.
