Bleeding after annual check up?

I had my annual check up, plus a test because of unusual vaginal discharge. My doctor said I have bacterial vaginosis and prescribed me a cream. I had some pink blood in my underwear when I got home, put a tampon in but it never got heavier. Had blood again when wiping the next day but again it did not get heavier. I am not due for AF for a week or so. What gives?

  • I'm guessing the doctor took a vaginal swab due to your unusual discharge, so the clamp used might have cut you slightly, I wouldn't worry about it, I tend to spot a bit after those type if examinations.

  • If you had a pap that can cause bleeding.
Most people don't realize that you can get an infection from having sex right after your pap. (he pees from that hole, ya know) Introduces bacteria into open wound.
