  • Sure, a newborn can sleep in a crib if that's what you prefer. Babies should be laid on their backs, with no blankets, pillows, or stuffed toys for the first few months, since those are smothering hazards.

  • In a crib or bassinette.
Really you should ask the doctors all these questions. Babies don't sleep on their sides.

  • Call a 24 hour nurse hotline. You need to know these things NOW.

Babies sleep on their back on a firm surface. Such as a crib, basinnet, pack n play or other safety approved sleep item.

  • Its a preference, there are safe ways to co sleep but yes of corse a baby can sleep in the crib , they should be placed on their back with no extra blankets pillows or toys. My 3 month old sleeps in bed with me n hubby, (shes breast fed and its easier) she hates sleeping on her back I place her on her side a stick a small pillow against her back. They actually make little cushions where you can lay baby on its side it has wedges to keep baby in place, if you have questions just ask your doctor :)

  • Yes a newborn can sleep in a crib. I put my newborns in bouncy chairs or swings for naps. Seems more snug than a crib. No blankets or anything though! Congratulations on the baby! The library has a lot of books on babies.
