Do you know what "congress" is?

I am talking to a friend that is under the impression that congress, the house of representatives and the senate are 3 different things.

  • Congress is the name of the legislative branch of government, it is then broken down into the Senate and the House. I use to teach government to high schoolers

  • Yes, I know what congress is.

Don't go too hard on your friend though. Even Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) thinks that the three branches of government are "the president, the senate and the house". LOL. And he WORKS in Congress.

No seriously--QuinnMae, that's a scary thought! He's one of the people we're entrusting with our future ... I'm not even going to get started.
