I feel a hard lump on the right side base of my skull...

There is pain and a pressure feeling right behind my ear and when I turn my head to the left I get a shooting pain in my head. And then my neck on the left side is sore. Should I be worried?

  • Probably. If you can see a doctor about it, I would.

  • I'd be worried if that was happening to me. Call the doctor and have it looked at. Better safe than sorry.

  • Doctors are the people who can diagnose and treat medical concerns... go to one and get it checked out.

  • Sounds like it could be a swollen lymph node. Get a dr to check it out.

  • I think it sounds like a lymph node as well, best to get it checked out with the doctor. It could be as simple as a virus or could be something more.

  • Have you bumped your head or had a cut recently above the sore spot? This happened to me in college and the lymph node was huge.

  • I'm betting on the bump due to the timing. You may just want to take it easy for a couple days and take some pain reliever. If it doesn't clear up, call your dr.
