A polite, tactful way of saying no

So this guy I went to high school with but barely know is in a band now and asked me to take pictures for them. But now he asked me to text him a picture of myself so he can assign it to my contact in his phone. Uhhhh creepy. I don't know him like that. How can I say no without jeopardizing the photography gig?

  • Keep it short and sweet. Just say no, I'm not comfortable with doing that. Wy does he need a picture of you in his phone anyway? Maybe there's an avatar or something he can use--I'm not up on these hings.

  • My husband keeps a face picture in his contacts for all sorts of people, because he's really bad at remembering faces.

  • I'm sorry but if I send you a photo you might try to steal my soul ...

    Then add J/K

    He won't dare ask again

  • I actually do not think it is creepy at all. I am bad with names. I recognize a face instantly.

  • Is he asking you for a face shot or a full frontal?

I've got no problem giving a face shot. If he's asking for a full frontal, then I would tell him you don't take pictures like that.

  • he's just asking for a picture of me, but i think it's kind of weird since we don't know eachother that well. i could send him the logo but i dont have it in my phone, i guess i could just snap a picture of it on my phone though from the computer lol

  • It's actually a common request, I like to have a contact picture too, it's not like he asked for a bikini shot, just send a face pic, what's the big deal?
