If a trusted website damaged your computer are they liable in any way?

I haven't been on in a few days because my laptop is so messed up.

Do yourself a favor and run anti virus scans NOW.

  • I've been on everyday. I think this just happened now. But yeah, you should back up your laptop and clean it.

  • I don't know for sure, but it probably says in the fine print somewhere on most Web sites that they're not liable for any damage that may occur to personal computers.

  • No they are not. Mine are constantly scanning and block all sorts of crap.
