Need ground beef ideas

OI! One side benefit of my dad being a trucker: I get free stuff every now and then. This time it's 40 pounds of Angus ground beef.

What the hell am I going to do with all that ground beef? Besides hamburgers?

Come on ladies, help me out here. Pretty Please share with me some good recipes that use ground beef. I know about tacos and hamburgers.

  • Meatballs either with spaghetti or gravy over mashed potatoes, cottage pie, stir fry, empanadas. I like freezing larger amounts of ground beef in freezer bags and them I flatten them down as much as I can. They defrost so fast that way.

  • Also, the cheeseburger pie recipe fom Bisquick is really good.

Answer by PandaGwen at 2:27 PM on Sep. 29, 2013

  • Here's the recipe:
    2 lbs ground beef
1 16 oz bag frozen veg (I use peas and carrots)
10 oz bag seasoning blend (frozen peppers, onions, celery)
1 can spicy v8 (I use it as a broth)
1 can tomato sauce. The recipe calls for a can of tomato soup but it made it too sweet
    2 cans diced tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste. Crumble beef, add rest of ingredients and cook 4-6 hours.
    It's so easy.
