I would love to go back to school, but not sure what career?

I am a high school grauate from 1986. Have not ever went to college, just not sure what to major in when the time comes. I been online trying to find employment, and no luck, not sure at this point what to do. Very fraustrated at this point.

  • The good thing is that we will need to do your general classes (math, English, science, etc) so that will give you some time to explore and figure out what you want to do. Contact the college you want to do to and see if they do career/personality tests. This will give you a few options to consider. You can also take a few intro classes to see if that field is what you would like.

  •    Search the link below ......should show what jobs will be in demand.  Also...any good at computers....math? Java script is in high demand if you can learn it. There are online tutorials, etc.

  • Research the job market where you live and figure out what is in demand that will pay enough for you to support yourself and your kids, then pick a major and go to school. There's no sense getting a degree in something you can't get a job doing.

  • The colleges offer career counseling. Stay away from the for-profit schools. Go to your local community college. Take the general ed courses and go from there.
