Did your period change after having a baby?

Just wondering if any other mom's out there have noticed a change in they're menstral cycle..after giving birth. My son's 8 months old, when my period resumed I noticed it's very different. It used to be heavy for about 2 day's..then lighter and lighter as each day went by, and only lasted 8 day's MAX. Now my periods are for 4 day's..the first 2 day's it is VERY heavy, not even normal...I'm going through 1 tampon in at least 1 hr or a bit less. Then after the first 2 day's it's pretty much very light and gone by day 4. Is this normal? For it to change so much. My cramps are less painful though, before they where bad. Any other women experienceing these types of changes too?

  • mine are shorter and farther apart, i only have a period every 1 1/2 to 2 months. I'm not complaining but if does cause a few scares sometimes even though i am totally protected.

  • Yes, mine changed after giving birth. I used to have very heavy periods, but now I don't. Mine are also shorter in length as well. Yeah for that!!!

  • oh good, so this is pretty normal....I love shorter, but the heavier part SUCKS because I feel stuck at home for 2 day's.
