  • i always wanted one as a little girl, but they are so stupidly expensive...my DD will not be getting one (if she ever wants one). that some ppl are willing to pay that much for a silly doll is beyond me!

  • Get her some American Girl books instead. I agree, it's more than I would pay for a doll. Maybe. I remember being that age and really wanting an expensive doll that my parents refused to buy, so I'd probably wind up caving.

  • American girl dolls IMO are worth the money. They have stories attached to each different doll or you can get one that looks similar to your own child. If you are at all crafty you can make clothing for the dolls. Mine played with hers for years. They are well made and meant to be passed down to that child's daughter etc. She still has them and they are ready for her own daughter in a few years.

  • Look on ebay maybe?

    I agree I wouldn't pay that for a doll.

My son wants Rokenbok building set(also pricey), but at least that can grow with him, where as a doll is easier to grow out of.
