  • Maybe you should have a doctor check her out. I know if my 8 yr old daughter doesn't brush good.. She has bad breath.

  • What does she eat, does she drink enough water? Does she have large tonsils? Can you teach her to gargle? I know that someone with large tonsils can harbor bacteria around them, so it might be wise to teach her how to gargle.
One other thing, do other people notice? I have a very strong "smeller", so maybe it isn't as bad as you think?

  • I assume you stand and watch her brush her teeth?
Some children hate brushing their teeth. They will stand there the entire time and not even turn on the water. If you notice no water is running they will stand there with the water running. If you mention the toothbrush isn't wet they will wet it or tell you that the teacher said to blow dry the toothbrush after.... etc I suggest you watch her do it and hang her privacy (which is anoth thing that is pulled )

  • My dentist told me that bad breath can often come from the stomach. Maybe a child dose of antacid? My son has really bad breath in the mornings.

  • Does she have seasonal allergies? I guess the doctor would've seen that, but my kids have seasonal allergies and will have sinus breath if they aren't taking their allergy meds when needed.
