  • These are things you need to discuss with your doctor before you start Depo shots.

    The chemicals in depo trick you body into thinking it's pregnant, therefore you don't ovulate. If you don't ovulate, you don't bleed. There are also a LOT of possible side effects, and it's a BITCH getting pregnant once you stop getting the shots.

    I was on Depo for 4 1/2 years after my daughter was born. My last shot was July 9, 2011. I am now 4 weeks pregnant. It took me a little over 2 years to get pregnant.
