  • I have no polite/civil words for this utterly stupid choice of priorities.

  • Its not just army base grocery stores closed. Its at least Air Force as well. Ours stayed open Tuesday to get rid of their perishables, but then closed down until further notice.

  • A golf course? Seriously? Wow--just wow.

Hope, at least the store didn't let the perishables go to waste, I guess.

  • Yeah, I think that is what all the Commissaries did across the US.

Coincidentally, my husband told me yesterday that those in the army that are deployed currently are only getting TWO MEALS a day.

  • The choice of priorities is completely political. It's disgraceful!

  • If you read it the priorities are not the governments in this case but rather it's funded by those who actually play the game and have memberships. However with their pay taking hits in the form of extra food costs, etc we may be seeing the golf courses taking hits soon as well.

  • Two meal a day thing has been going on for a long time. That's not new or because of this shutdown.

Answer by Anonymous at 3:01 PM on Oct. 3, 2013

  • Depends on who is in charge of the Golf course. Who work their. If they are not a federal job. That is why it is still open. All US Commissarys are closed. All branches .

  • Yes, we mustn't deprive our president of his golf game but screw the WWII vets who want to see their monument before they die.

I have no words to say that won't get me in trouble. Nuff said!
