  • No, it doesn't. You go through menopause when you are genetically programmed to (or after having your ovaries removed).

  • No the only med that I know that can cause a chemically induced menopause is the Lupron injections. Which many times also require Hormonal adback therapy as well to combat the menopause and risk of bone loss.

    Mirena can stop your periods but it won't cause menopause.

  • No, but while in use, your periods may become lighter or even stop. Says so right in the commercials.
