What do you pay for cable/internet?

Just curious. We only have 1 real option on base and supposedly they offer "competitive" pricing, but the service sucks and we pay out the butt for it. $160 for internet that cuts out everyday, sometimes multiple times a day, my phone doesn't work (they send they would send someone to fix it, that was days ago), and now my cable just cut out too. They told us that they would discount us every month, we got a discount 1 month. As of next week, we will no longer have home phone, or cable. We went off base and got wifi for $40 a month, faster speed than the shit we pay for now, only problem is that we need to get an IP blocker to able to utilize HULU, but that is well worth it. Oh and I should say, our cable is just basic cable, no packages or anything, just the cheapest cable package with phone and internet.

  • $70 for internet and cable. We want to cancel the cable completely, but the cost of internet alone would go up, because Comcast is stupid. We get about 20 channels, most of which we have no use for, and access to streampix, which is ok if you want to watch tv shows that haven't been on for a few years (random LOST marathon, etc).

  • $119 a month total (with all the fees & taxes added in) every month. That covers internet, cable (no movie channels) but, HD w/an HD DVR)

  • $130/month for all three (phone/internet/cable) no movie channels but it is an upgraded package so we could get faster speeds (mega eye roll) and more channels, cause all the good ones are on the 2nd cheapest plan.

  • Total of $118 and some change a month for pretty decent internet (18mbps), digital cable with DVR but no premium channels, and a really shitty home phone that we don't use because we have a magic jack that's free but it was cheaper to include the service. Price also includes the cable box and router rental. I fought like hell to get the price we pay though lol. F*ck cable companies, seriously.
