So i think ......

2 year old has t start of pink eyes, or my mom says so. This morning I wiped his eye and there was little crusty a little yellow and it was sticky the same after his nap. I don't know what it looks like on a 2 year old. He has not rubbed it at all, I know I have allegers right now and I don't know if you has the same thing, what do you guys think?

  • Is the white of his eye pink? Could just be a simple conjunctivitis or allergy eye.

  • Pink eye is usually quite itchy, and has a lot of eye goop with it.

  • Doesn't sound like pink eye. The eyes are usually very red and itchy, and the goop in the eyes generally is difficult to wash of because there's so much that it glues the eyelids together.

    It wouldn't hurt to call the doctor's office in the morning and talk to a triage nurse to see if you should bring him in.

  • Yeah if the white of the eye isn't pink I'd chalk it up to a cold or allergens. Just keep watch on it. If it continues he should probably be seen.
