Do you have a picture of Jesus in your home?

The reason I ask is because I don't understand why. What ever picture you have would just be a guess of an imaginary version of what someone thinks this person looked like. Might as-well have pictures of unicorns on the wall!

  • mrsmom- she wasn't comparing jesus to unicorns, merely pointing out that the face of your jesus is unknown to any human's eye therefore your wall portraits of him are inaccurate.

  • Yes we do. Regardless of how you feel, I think it's very rude of you to compare our religion to a non-existent mythical creature. Just b/c you don't follow that religion or have an understanding of it, does not mean you should disregard the beliefs of millions.

  • I don't. But, this is very true --> "What ever picture you have would just be a guess of an imaginary version of what someone thinks this person looked like." Also true for many other images you'll find in society as well. What's it to ya??

  • It's not about the image itself, but what it represents.

Sometimes. There are some homes where Jesus is white for a very specific reason.

  • You are correct. It is just a representation of the idea of Jesus and not the true man.
I do not. I did years ago but have not replaced it.
I also have a little Buda statue but I am not deluded into thinking that is actually a true likeness.
I have caricatures of my children as well.
They are things people like and mean something to the individual.
