  • Return bottles, pawn something, mow the neighbours lawn or wash their windows. Borrow money. And more importantly Christmas is coming make sure you plan for that! Oh you could go to the free section on craigslist and get something there and bake a cake they cost 1$.

  • I guess ask your baby daddy for the money, why is this posted in toddlers, or is it some more drama for the day?

  • I have zero cash as well..and guess what my son is turning 6 at the end of the month, but you don't see me basically begging. I planned ahead. I have a toy or two for him as I found them onsale cheap this summer and made sure to buy ahead, I'm baking his cake(even going to try making some fondant this year to cover and decorate).

I didn't have the money for an activity he wanted to do that cost $50 late this summer, but I sold some stuff of mine so that he could do it. I recycle cans(including ones I find on the street while out walking).

Like Pinkparcel said, there are also free stuff on craigslist as well as most cities have a freecycle page on facebook.

  • Pink parcel has the right idea. Bake a cake - mixes are cheap, buy a gift from craigslist or the $ store. Just make it a fun day. Organize a scavenger hunt, make her a word search puzzle, go for a bike ride or walk together, rent a redbox movie and pop popcorn, etc
You can sell something for money but you don't need big bucks for a birthday.
