1 Bump

3yrs ago my cat had a stroke, now he can't clean himself and has gained alot of weight, he's a long haired cat and i have 1 other. both indoor cats, i take spike the one who had the stroke to the vet

once a yr for a shave and cleaning, cost alot of money because he has to be put to sleep, he no longer likes to be petted except my me and only on his head, he came home from the vet and now is scratching like crazy, i put the flea stuff on him and i spray him with vinger and water, is that enough? I can't bathe him without getting myself bit, i've been bit 3 times and had to go to the doc's, how long before i know he is flea free?

  • Call the vet and ask why he came back with Fleas, and make them give you a script for it for free.

  • They should have made sure he was flea free before he left the vet. That is part of the grooming especially if he is being shaved.

  • Take the cat back to the vet and have them do a flea dip in the clinic.

  • Yeah, he shouldn't have come home with fleas. Do you use the Advantage flea treatment? Works wonders.

  • Are you sure it is fleas? If he was shaved he could have some razor burn. That can make them itchy.
