  • Generally speaking, they walk when they're ready ...

  • WHY...

*kidding...kind of. My first started walking at 7.5 months- no joke. We were SO SO excited and happy. Then we realized how much trouble they can get into once they walk.
When my son came along, we were like "no hurry son, it's okay to just lay around a little more before you walk" HAha. He walked around 14 months (I think it was)

  • Put something across the room that he REALLY wants, and encourage him to walk to it

  • Place a toy on the couch and then move it just out of his reach.
Have one person help him stand and then hold out your arms about two steps away from you.
Be careful what you wish for.
I have found it is best to let the child motivate themselves. This usually occurs when they are physically ready and they get frustrated.
A little frustration is a good thing.

  • Push toy. like a little shopping cart. Something he can stand behind and hold onto.

  • Thank you for all your advice! It's weird he wanted to walk only a few months ago and now it seems like he's just lost all motivation to even try
