Did you ever borrow money on a credit card? Was it worth it?

  • Do you mean using the cash option? No, I haven't used that. The interest is higher on cash. What do you need the money for? If it's for things like utilities, you could use your card to pay that instead of taking cash, which in that case those amounts would be charged the normal interest rate on your card, not the higher amount for the cash option.

  • Yes, and I would never do it again.
    AGAIN - digging a deeper hole.
    Sell some stuff, get another job, babysit, barter and trade, visit a food pantry, or call welfare.

  • Maybe once. I went through a debt consolidation program about 13 years ago and have never went back to credit cards.

  • I did. NEVER again. In fact, we only have one credit card now, for our dentist's office. That's it. The rest is cash only.

  • The interest rates will drown you. Use this as a last resort.
