How do people decide to invite you to a group?

Do they just send out a mass email to everyone?

  • There's this whole behind the scene pissing contest between member-owned groups. Whoever has the most members, most threads bumped per day, etc, get the top spots when you search for new groups. They don't care about quality, just quantity - kind of like the groups version of point whoring. As a result, they send mass invites out to people just to get a few to click yes.

  • I just deleted a random invite this morning, too, and I was wondering if there's a way to get on a leave-me-alone list or something.
