My 2 1/2 yr old son is a very very picky eater and what he does eat makes him constipated. Does anybody else have this problem and have any solutions to this?

  • stop offering foods that constipate him and offer other things. You buy the groceries, so you control the menu. I have a picky eater too, and I recommend nipping this in the bud now before things get out of control.

  • Blenders are your friend you can blend every kind of veggie and call it spaghetti sauce or soup. Smoothies are a great choice aswell you can make it seem like a treat but put spinach and fruit in it. You can even make Popsicles out of smoothies. But really what you put out to eat is what he will eat if you give no other options. He will eventually get hungry and eat it.

  • Offer the foods that will be healthy for your little one. If he refuses to eat, take the meal away and offer it again later. It may take a while if he's been used to setting the menu, but he'll eat what you give him eventually.

  • Stop feeding him what he will only eat. Feed him food you want him to eat. He will not starve himself.

  • He needs to be drinking a lot of water too. Offer water all day. It will help with the constipation. He can have a special water bottle of his own.
