It's that time of the year, retailers are hiring for seasonal help...

Do you look for part time seasonal work to get you through the holidays?

  • Unfortunately, I am not allowed to. It would be nice if I could pick up a very part time job for extra money though.

  • I get tempted every year but always change my mind. I don't want to have to work when my family are celebrating a holiday.

  • I just quit my full time job, but stayed on 1 day a week to help pay for the holidays, and to get out of the house a little.

  • No, thankfully we haven't had to do that yet.

  • No, I don't have time for it even if we could use the money.

  • I've considered taking a part time job just for the employee discount, but then seasonal hiring rolls around and I realize how much I hate working retail and especially during the holidays. I can't work any hours and weekends are a no go for me. I'm not as flexible as I once was. So unless an employer can accomodate me, I'm not interested. Now, if it were a job that paid enough for me to pay for daycare and still have money to left over then I might be interested.

  • I will in the future and have in the past, but not this year. Retail at Christmas is so hard, people are cranky and your friends are out being social while you are stuck at work, but the extra cash sure is nice. :)
