    5+7=12, carry the one, 1+3=4 plus 1 equals 5. That's how he gets 52.

  • anime, they don't carry numbers anymore. My kids think I'm a magician when I do math that way. LOL.

  • They do at my kids school. The teacher refuses to use Everyday Math.

  • If you can't do simple math you NEED to talk to the teacher so they know you are not a resource for your child at home.... this is VERY important!!

  • Bait+epic fail = 52
    As Crafty suggested, it might be a very good idea to tell you child's teacher that you are able to type numbers, find answers on Cafe Mom in less than a minute, but are unable to use a caculator application.
