I just had a group of kids come to the door

And someone is passing out Toothpaste samples, hahaha

Has your child/children received anything that is not candy?

  • That's hilarious! Were they complaining? Or did you see in the bag? My kid's got 100% candy with a couple of bags of halloween pretzels for good measure.

  • When the kids were young we had a dentist in the neighborhood and they gave the little packets with brush toothpaste and floss every year.
We just figured they were getting enough candy to kill an elephant so the dental packet was nice.
Through the years they got spider rings ad the little puzzle with the bbs and wax lips. Raisins and apples not uncommon. Religious tracts on occasion, lol, The kids used them to spit their gum into. One year though on family gave our some "healthy" prepackaged bar things made out of tofu. We (DH and I) died laughing. DD told us her friend loves these and everyone was begging to try them so......
The expression on her face, Priceless. Sad thing is those goodies were probably pretty pricey.

  • When the girls were little, we had a hostess guy in the neighborhood. He used to always give out snack cakes.... Also there was a guy that passed out chips... we (the ex and I) LOVED that guy!

  • They got a little card game, and some fang teeth, a ring or two, but mostly candy.

  • We didn't really "do" trick or treat, just had stuff for friends kids. We gave out Little Debbies! So, no, not candy, but equally junk-filled.
