  • always talk to his doctor. It sounds like he needs more fiber and water.

  • Don't add fiber unless you add more fluids. extra fiber can make constipation worse.

    Here are some good food choices to help with constipation.

  • The easiest way is to make sure he gets AT LEAST half his weight in ounces of non carbonated liquids daily
    He may be ingesting too much iron.

  • What is his average diet each day? Maybe if you tell us what he does eat then we can add some ideas or tell you what to eliminate. Like eliminate rice & bananas. Both are very binding.

  • Lots of water and fruit, like water melon, peaches, pears, oranges and mango's. Cut out any foods that come in boxes and serve real whole foods. We bought a britta water filter and leave that in the fridge my daughter just drinks so much water now, we stoped buying juice.

  • You can give him a probiotic, thats what my pediatrician told me when my LO was constipated.
