DH is allergic to cinnamon

Which will make it tricky for ALL of the autumn recipes out there lol! Have any suggestions for replacement spices?

  • Nutmeg, cloves...pumpkin pie spice

  • Caution on the pumpkin pie spice, it is a blend that usually has cinnamon in it. Nutmeg is a good one though. Anise, or cardamom in small amounts might be good depending on the recipe.

  • Pumpkin pie spice has cinnamon in it.

    Nutmeg, cloves, ginger - those would be my go-tos. You'll have to experiment a bit to find what your family likes best.

  • How 'bout trying the classic known as the 'Jamaican Pepper' or 'Allspice'? This spice marries well with many of the tradtional flavors of the season. Hope that my answer will be of use to you.
