  • Hysterectomy is not an operation that would be performed unless medically necessary, no matter what your age.

  • IF you have enough female issues its a possibility, I had my tubes tied at 21 and a partial hysterectomy at 24 then the rest at 31

  • I really don't want any more children I've got 2 girls and had enough heart ache and I think getting my tubes tied isn't 100% guaranteed

  • Not wanting children is NOT a medical necessity. No doctor will do one without actual medical reasons like cancer, endometriosis, or uterine bleeding.

  • Heartache? That has nothing to do with your uterus. It has to do with making better life choices.

  • No, you won't be able to have a hysterectomy just because you want one. If that were all that was necessary, I'd have had one years ago. Not that it's my business, but I'm a bit surprised you were able to convince them to tie your tubes at your age. Impressive.

A hysterectomy is done only for medically necessary reasons. Bummer, but that's the way it is.

If men had uteruses, hysterectomies would be elective surgeries.
